Terms of Use
Last updated: March 11, 2026
By using PaperFit, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1. What the Tool Does
PaperFit is a browser-based document toolkit that includes margin and paper size adjustment, PDF merging and splitting, page removal, compression, rotation, cropping, organizing, watermarking, page numbering, password protection, flattening, PDF and image conversion, and privacy scanning for supported document types. All processing happens locally in your browser and is designed to avoid server-side file uploads.
2. No Warranty
This tool is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The output will match your printer's exact behavior.
- All PDF types will be processed without issues.
- The application will be available without interruption.
- Privacy scan results will identify every legal, security, or compliance issue in a file.
3. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Reviewing the preview before printing or downloading.
- Keeping your original files. We recommend always keeping a copy of your original PDF.
- Verifying the output meets your needs before committing to a print run.
4. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this tool, including but not limited to wasted paper, ink, or print materials.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of any PDF files you process using this tool. We do not access, store, or claim any rights to your content.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use this tool to process documents that you do not have the right to modify or distribute. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permissions for the files you upload.
7. Quality Considerations
When scaling content between significantly different paper sizes (e.g. A4 to A0), image-based or scanned PDF content may lose quality. The application will display warnings when this is detected, but the final quality assessment is your responsibility.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Local Data Controls
PaperFit provides in-app controls to clear selected locally stored data from your browser. You are responsible for choosing which categories to remove, including session drafts, export history, preferences, theme, and analytics consent.
