Is it private?

Yes. Unlike most "rotate PDF online" tools, PaperFit processes your file on your device, and no document contents are sent to PaperFit — the rotation happens entirely on your own device in your browser. That matters when the sideways page is a scanned contract, ID, or medical record: it stays with you the whole time. You can confirm it: open your browser's network tab and watch — no document contents are sent to PaperFit while you rotate.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Rotation runs in your browser. No document contents are sent to PaperFit, so there is nothing for us to see or store.

Will rotating reduce the quality?

No. PaperFit only changes each page's stored orientation rather than re-rendering it, so text stays selectable and image quality is untouched.

Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole file?

Yes. Select the specific pages you want and rotate only those, or apply a rotation to every page at once.

What rotation angles can I use?

You can turn pages 90 degrees clockwise, 90 degrees counter-clockwise (270), or flip them a full 180 degrees.

Is there a file size limit?

You can rotate PDFs up to 200 MB. Because everything runs locally, very large files depend on your device's available memory.

Do password-protected PDFs work?

Remove the password first with the Protect tool's Unlock mode, then rotate — encrypted files can't be edited directly.
